Annual Reports
The Library annual report offers at-a-glance information about and statistics on key areas.
Gifts & Donations
The Libraries consider for inclusion in its general collection gifts of materials that meet the criteria noted in its Collection Goals, Description, and Policies document. Additional factors, such as the physical condition of the materials, and whether they are held in the library collections at Bryn Mawr or Swarthmore Colleges, are also taken into consideration. Please contact Norm Medeiros, Associate Librarian of the College, for additional information or to make a donation..
Gifts for Quaker & Special Collections
Quaker & Special Collections gladly accepts gifts of materials that enlarge and strengthen our collections and support the research and teaching needs of our communities. Among the areas in which we collect most deeply are rare books, photography, personal and family papers, including papers of leading Quaker and Philadelphia-area families; materials related to Quaker history and practice, and Quaker organizational records. We also collect Haverford College history and culture, including administrative records, papers of students, student groups, faculty, and alumni, as well as published materials by and about the College. We explore new collecting directions as they have connections to the Haverford curriculum or current collection strengths. Quaker & Special Collections is committed to collecting materials which document hidden, undertold, or beyond the mainstream narratives. Our Collection Description, Goals, and Policies provides further information on the areas in which we collect.
Quaker & Special Collections serves as a repository for Philadelphia and Baltimore Yearly Meetings with Friends Historical Library at Swarthmore College and for Intermountain Yearly Meeting. We have a deep interest in Quaker meeting records, and are happy to accept other records of this type. Meetings interested in depositing materials should consult recommendations from PYM of what materials should be deposited.
Campus offices transferring records to the archives should contact the College Archivist and refer to the policies on our records management page.
