Funding and Co-Sponsorship
Student Diversity, Equity, and Access (SDEA) Funding
The Student Diversity, Equity, and Access (SDEA) team at Haverford College is dedicated to fostering an inclusive community that champions diversity and equity. We provide funding, with support from the IDEA Office, REEO, GRASE, and Religious and Spiritual Life, for student-led projects, events, and heritage month celebrations.
This funding can cover a wide range of initiatives, including guest speakers, workshops, performances, religious meals, cultural events, and educational programs that align with our mission to create a participatory and equitable environment where all students can fully express their authentic selves.

Event Co-Sponsorship
Student organizations, campus offices/departments/divisions may request co-sponsorship for community programs. The purpose of co-sponsorship is to provide thought partnership, event planning guidance, or funding support for programs that create a vibrant and inclusive environment.

Student Initiative Fund
Provide support for student initiatives that center the experiences of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and/or FLI (first-generation and/or low-income) students. The funding requests may include, but limited to, existing, ongoing, and/or innovative community building programs, social justice project development, community education, cultural experience, and peer engagement.

Mini Grant Fund
Provide mini-grants, in the amount of $50 to $250 for individuals and $250 to $500 for groups per academic year, as a means to support personal and/or communal initiatives that explore new relationships, work across lines of difference, and towards collective partnership among Haverford students, staff, and faculty that are anti-racist, anti-bias, and align with IDEA and SDEA's mission and aspirations.

THRIVE Fund
Provide support for campus-wide anti-racism and anti-bias efforts including but not limited to facilitator training, resource materials, curriculum development, education, and programming for faculty, students, and staff.

LIFTFAR Emergency Fund and Opportunity Fund
Funding for incidental and unanticipated expenditures that occur during the academic year. Some examples of expenses that can be covered by this fund include, but are not limited to: expenses associated with emergency medical, dental, and vision procedures; unanticipated trips home due to a family emergency; funding to repair or replace a laptop or other technology necessary for coursework.

LIFTFAR Opportunity Fund
Funding to support on or off-campus professional development. Some examples of expenses that can be covered by this fund include, but are not limited to: various fees related to postgraduate opportunities (e.g., standardized testing and application fees, travel for interviews); travel and accommodations for a conference or internship related to the student’s field of study; business attire for job interviews.

Transportation Reimbursement
Reimbursement for students who incurred travel costs on individual service projects. Reimbursement is for public transportation or mileage only. Ride-share services can be reimbursed in the amount of an equivalent public transportation fare, or if there were 3 or more students in the vehicle, can be refunded the full amount (please include student names in request). Reimbursements cannot be processed without receipts.
