Department of Economics
Economics Question Center
The Economics Question Center (EQC) is a weekly drop-in forum where students can ask questions and work collaboratively with their peers. Faculty members and teaching assistants will be available to assist students at designated times.
The formal meeting times are:
- Tuesdays, 7:30-9:30 p.m.: Aaron Graybill, Shohini Sen
- Thursdays, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.: Haya Goldblatt, Icy Ren
- Thursdays, 7:30-9:30 p.m.: Gabe Sekeres, Hannah Lopez
You should check with your instructors to determine which times they will be available. Students are free to use the facility outside of the designated times.
Due to physical distancing restrictions, this semester the EQC will be conducted virtually via Google Meets to which you all have access. There are virtual meeting rooms for every course offered in the Fall, as well as unassigned (small group) rooms, and a main lobby. Links to each room can be found in the Economics Question Center PDF. [To access a meeting room, just follow the link on the appropriate box.]

You can choose to exclusively go to the room associated with your course. There are also ‘unassigned’ rooms, which are available, for example, if a subset of students in a particular course wish to work on something different from those in the course’s main room. If you are looking for a faculty member or teaching assistant, try the lobby. Students are free to move between rooms, and you may join multiple rooms simultaneously, if you wish.
Each room (other than the Lobby) also has a dedicated Google Jamboard. A Jamboard is a collaborative whiteboard that you can use to work on problems together with your peers.
A technical note - you need to be logged in using your Bi-Co account to access the Google Meets and Jamboards. If you have a personal gmail account, you will first need to sign-in using your Bi-Co credentials.
