Pre-Health Advising

We are here to advise and support Haverford students and alumni in the exploration of the full range of health professions, including medicine, dentistry, public health, veterinary medicine, physical therapy, and other related fields.

Current students and alumni who are interested in exploring careers in the health professions can schedule 30-minute pre-health advising appointments in Handshake with the Director of Pre-Professional Advising.

  Pre-Health Advising Appointments

30-minute meetings (in-person or virtual) to discuss academic planning and preparation, clinical and research experience, the admissions process, and exploration of the health professions.

  Pre-Health Applicant Self-Assessment Appointments

45-minute meetings (in-person or virtual) to review your submitted Pre-Health Applicant Self-Assessment Form and discuss your background, interest, and prepartion to enter the health professions. These meetings are mandatory and exclusively for medical and dental school applicants during the application year.

Deadline: March 15 (current students and alumni applicants)

  Career Advising Appointments

Current students and alumni can also make an advising appointment with a career advisor for assistance with internship and job searches, alumni networking, resume and cover letter reviews, interview preparation, and overall career exploration. All advising appointments can be scheduled through Handshake; alumni can request access to Handshake as well.
