Dean's Office & Student Life
The Office of the Dean of the College coordinates many academic support and student services at Haverford and is generally responsible for student life on campus.
Dean's Office & Advising
Each of the Deans has designated student advisees, as well as an individual portfolio: student life, international study, the first-year experience, race and ethnicity education, and career and professional advising (including scholarship and fellowship advising).
Dean's Discretionary Fund
This fund, administered by the Dean of the College, is meant to support students during moments of great need, such as the death of a family member. Funding is awarded on a case by case basis, and factors that are considered include your financial need, the nature of your funding request, and the availability of these funds at the time of your request.
Community Engagement
Haverford students volunteer in co-curricular projects supported by the Marilou Allen Office of Service & Community Collaboration (OSCC). Student leaders organize on-campus and off-campus service days, week-long service trips, and manage weekly projects as part of a well-rounded liberal arts education. The OSCC also provides guidance in finding the right volunteer opportunity with non-profits in the Philadelphia region.
Student Life
The staff of the office of student life, headed by the Director of Student Engagement and Leadership, work most closely with residential life, student engagement, student leadership, and governance.
Student's Guide
The Student's Guide was created to centralize and make accessible important information regarding policies and procedures for the students, faculty, staff, and administration of Haverford College.
Coronavirus Information
Haverford College's policies and protocols for responding to the COVID-19 pandemic will be rooted in the health, safety, and well-being of our faculty, staff, and students, and for the public with whom we interact.
