List a detailed description of this specific campus job. | The Access and Disability Services/ ADS Student Liaison works in partnership with the ADS staff members to communicate important messages to and from the student body, plan and advertise disability-centered events, form connections between the office and students, and serve as a peer resource for students. The position is intended for two students who are familiar with ADS and can serve as an experienced peer for other students. The position runs through the academic year. |
Qualifications: | Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student of Haverford College and in good academic standing. Applicants should have an interest in disability and higher education, strong communication skills, good interpersonal skills, effective organizational and research skills, and the ability to work independently and take initiative. Applicants must be very dependable, have the ability to follow instructions, and display a sense of professionalism at all times while on duty. |

The ADS Student Liaison’s duties and responsibilities would include: Serve as a peer resource for other students to connect with to acquire ADS information Assist the ADS staff in updating materials, planning outreach and education events, and communicating with student groups Create and publish the monthly ADS newsletter Hold ADS office hours for students to drop in and ask questions Plan informational and social events that pertain to Disability Culture and Equitable Disabled Access Other duties as needed |
