Student Interns

Jacob Chan '24 (he/him)
DEI Intern
Hello! My name is Jacob (he/him) and I am a current senior. I am a double major in Spanish and LInguistics with a minor in Education. Around campus, I am also involved with the OAR and the Spanish department. In my free time, I love learning about different languages and cultures (it’s my dream to travel the world!), playing video games, and just hanging out with friends :) Looking forward to connecting in the CCPA!

Edgar Leon '25 (he/him)
Advising Intern
Hi, my name is Edgar Leon and I am currently a junior from Houston, TX. I’m double majoring in Computer Science and Music. This summer, I went to a Film Scoring Workshop at NYU. I was also the Percussion Instructor at Waltrip High School and taught students percussion pedagogy, music theory, and proper rehearsal techniques as well as arranged pieces for the upcoming marching show. In addition to this, I worked with Music Professor Richard Freedman developing course materials and upgrading and updating old data science projects. I am passionate about teaching others and helping others develop leadership skills. During my free time, I play video games, compose (usually film scores or orchestra music), and go on Wawa runs with friends. Feel free to stop by the CCPA office to get your resume reviewed or get career advice!

Lyla Saigal '26 (she/her)
Advising Intern
Hi, my name is Lyla and I’m a sophomore planning on double majoring in Chemistry and Economics. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, working out, playing the piano, and gaming. Currently, I am part of the Bi-co Afreen Dance team and am a Campus Ambassador for the Women’s Network. I’m also working as a Customs Facilitator and as a Liaison at the library. At any given point, you can almost definitely find me socializing with my friends in the Lutnick Library or walking on the nature trail, so feel free to say hi! I’m really looking forward to working as an intern for the CCPA this year and am excited to meet and work with you all!

Danylo Shudrenko '26 (he/him)
Advising Intern
Hi friends! My name is Dan, and I am a rising sophomore from Kharkiv, Ukraine. As for my major, I am still deciding between Psychology and Neuroscience. Over the summer, I stayed on campus and worked in the EEG lab with Professor Compton. In addition to being a CCPA intern, I continue to work as a research assistant in the EEG lab and an assistant at the AV office. Last year, I used to be a part of the Special Events Committee, a TA for the CS class, and an intern at the residential life office. I also really love theatre — I performed as a member of the New Work Ensemble at Bryn Mawr and took part in the Mini Myth Fest. In my free time, you will probably find me working out in the gym :) Looking forward to assisting you all, and please feel free to reach out with any career-related questions.

Paeton Smith-Hiebert '26 (she/they)
Social Media Intern
Hey there! My name is Paeton Smith-Hiebert, and I am a sophomore from Portland, OR, and SoCal, intending to major in English and minor in Mathematics. As the CCPA Social Media and Publicity Intern, I am responsible for creating many of the CCPA’s flyers, posters, blogs, and social media posts. Outside of the CCPA, I am the Media Editor for the Haverford Clerk, a FAB Co-Head, a Reproductive Health Peer Mentor, a student intern in the Alumni & Constituent Engagement Office, and an active disability rights and survivor advocate. In my free time, I love spending time with my friends and exploring new places around the city. I also love watching movies, playing video & board games, cooking, and listening to music. Feel free to stop by the CCPA office for resume & cover letter review, to receive career advice, or just say hi! I hope to see you soon!

Mary Zhou '25 (she/her)
Pre-Health Intern
Hi! I’m Mary Zhou, a junior biology major, health studies minor, pre-med. I hope to use not only my training at the CCPA, but also my personal experiences to guide my fellow students to professional success. Outside of the CCPA, you can find me working at the writing center, as a biology TA, and in the biology department Cooke Lab. In my free time, I like to enjoy more artistic pursuits, like watercolor and ink painting, and crocheting. I also enjoy reading; some recent favorites of mine include Not For Sale and How the Brain Lost Its Mind. My music tastes vary from classical, such as Rachmanoff and Chopin, to classic rock and pop, to mandopop and kpop. I’m very excited to meet my peers and share my knowledge!
