Jennifer Barr received her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Temple University, and spent the following three years working as Director of Student Activities at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She has been with Haverford College since 1998, starting in the Career Office as a Recruiting Coordinator, and moving into the role of a Career Advisor one year later.
In 2008 Jennifer added the role of Pre-Law Advisor, and is eager to assist in any stage as Haverford students and alumni explore careers in law - from first-year students just starting the exploration process through alumni immersed in law school applications. In addition to Pre-Law, Jennifer now serves as Director of Career Engagement and Initiatives, where she both manages long-standing signature programs such as the Haverford College Extern Program and the Whitehead Internship program, as well as determines and launches new CCPA endeavors such as the Sophomore Resume Initiative.
In her personal time, Jennifer is a published author, currently writing her fourth book and second novel. Her debut historical fiction middle grade novel, GOODBYE, MR. SPALDING (Boyds Mills and Kane) was published in 2019, and her next book THUNDER AND MERCY (Boyds Mills and Kane) is slated for publication in 2022.
