Elana joined the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Access in the spring of 2022. She also serves on the Staff Association Executive Committee, and is one of two staff representatives to the Administrative Advisory Committee. Previous positions at Haverford include four years as a Faculty Administrative Assistant with Philosophy, Religion, and Visual Studies, and Catering staff in the summer of 2017.
Elana holds a B. A. in Theatre Arts from Cornell, and began her professional life as a Stage Manager, with nearly a decade of freelance work in the Greater Philadelphia Area. She then went to culinary school and spent a brief but glorious time as a bread baker and candy maker. Both of these former fields remain a big part of how she spends her personal time, along with hiking, word puzzles, and TTRPG.
The large and boisterous dog you hear in the background on Zoom is named Gibson, and he is very sorry for the disruption.
