The capital of the state of Victoria, and Australia’s second largest city, Melbourne is well known for its trams, cafes, and restaurants and its variety of cultural events. The University campus is situated on 22.5 beautifully landscaped hectares with buildings ranging from classic architectural styles to modern designs. The campus itself is located only 1.5 km from the city center, and is in close proximity to the Victorian Arts Centre, the State Library, and the National Gallery.

Requirements

Students are required to enroll in a full course load.

Exchange Details

There are a few exchange positions available. Interested students must be 100% committed to attending the program. By electing the exchange option, it allows a student from the University of Melbourne to study at Haverford. The deadlines are earlier and the slots are on a first come basis. Students must contact Rebecca Avery early in the application process.

Academic Credit

A full course load at Melbourne is 50 points. Please look carefully at the point value assigned to courses. Students must have 50 points for one semester in order to receive four credits at Haverford College. However, students will only receive full credit for courses that meet at least three hours a week and run the entire length of the semester, regardless of the points assigned.

Students must email their course selection and request approval from Rebecca Avery in advance, to ensure credit. Major, minor, and concentration transfer credit will only be granted for courses in which students received a grade of a C or above.
