Seeing Sound: Muted Situation #2: Muted Lion Dance

Seeing Sound is on display at Haverford's Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery in the College's Whitehead Campus Center, as well as in Create Space 006 in the College's VCAM (Visual Culture, Arts, and Media) facility, where visitors can view Samson Young’s piece Muted Situation #2: Muted Lion Dance.
Samson Young is a multi-disciplinary artist working in sound, performance, video, and installation. In 2017 he represented Hong Kong with a solo project titled Songs for Disaster Relief at the 57th Venice Biennale. He was the recipient of the BMW Art Journey Award, a Prix Ars Electronica Award of Distinction in Sound Art and Digital Music, and in 2020 he was awarded the inaugural Uli Sigg Prize.
Seeing Sound is a traveling exhibition curated by Barbara London, with the support of Research Assistant Kristen Clevenson and produced by Independent Curators International (ICI). This exhibition and tour are supported, in part, by Nokia Bell Labs Experiments in Art and Technology (E.A.T.) program and with the generous support of ICI’s Board of Trustees and International Forum. Crozier Fine Arts is the Preferred Art Logistics Partner. Support for the presentation at Haverford College is provided by The John B.
