Often, rap is understood as a heavily masculine and violent genre, to which understanding can be debated. Rap is poetry, softly crafted from tough experiences, experiences of loss and love. Enjoy a curated playlist of poetic songs that range across eras of rap that feature vulnerability, softness, and emotion. Picture society if marginalized groups of people were encouraged to showcase poetic vulnerability outside of musical art. Explore a side of poetic vulnerability that has often been misunderstood and overlooked.
