The Corporation of Haverford College is now about two years into a process of developing changes to our bylaws that would revise the criteria for membership in the Corporation, and by extension the Board of Managers on which some Corporation members serve. As we move into this discussion, it is essential that we solicit input and counsel from the full range of the constituencies of the College community, including students, faculty, staff, and its largest constituency—alumni. Who are the Corporation of Haverford College?
Since its founding in 1833, the Corporation of Haverford College has formally held title to the College and is ultimately responsible for the well-being and governance of the institution. Its current membership comprises about 200 alumni and friends of the College, mostly Quaker.
