Welcome, Class of 2020!
Details
The Class of 2020 have been welcomed as Haverford alums. See the celebration, words of advice, and ways to help in their job search.
The Office of Alumni and Parent Relations, the Alumni Association Executive Committee (AAEC), and Fords everywhere warmly congratulate the Class of 2020 and welcome them into the alumni body.
Unfortunately, our graduates, their families, and members of the Haverford community could not be on campus to celebrate Commencement in the traditional sense. Despite this difficulty, Haverford hosted a virtual celebration for the class on Saturday, May 30. All Haverfordians were invited to view this celebration and the recording and program may be found here. The College does plan to host a future, in-person, graduation celebration as well; when our newest graduates can safely reconvene on campus.

Support New Graduates, and Fellow Alumni, in their Job Search:
Haverford Connect is the College's new career connection tool for our student and alumni communities. The platform allows users to search the alumni body for individuals they would like to connect with—based on areas of help/support they are seeking, connections they may have in common (majors/location), or information they'd like to learn more about (specific companies/industries/graduate school programs). Alumni can use the platform as a way to mentor current students, a way to find former classmates you've lost touch with, and also to build your own professional networking circles and knowledge. Join us on Haverford Connect by visiting connect.haverford.edu today!
Advice for the Class:
"Uncertainty is a birthing place for new ideas and fresh growth. Pursue your dreams and what brings meaning and purpose in your life. Measure your success as you go, not by your material wealth, but by your willingness to continue to demonstrate love for yourself and others regardless of the circumstances you find yourself in. Be grateful for what you have. Use your incredible mind to remain open to learning new ways to live that better express and reflect your love and creativity. Be flexible and open to receiving love and gratitude from others in different ways than you might anticipate and ways that you might have thought were never possible. Say yes to the things that nurture this peaceful vibrancy."
