Additional Course Info | Class Number: 2759 This course serves as an introduction to Global Political Economy (GPE). It not only surveys fundamental GPE concepts but also delves into international economic institutions and critical problem areas. Following an exploration of key theoretical approaches, emphasis will be placed on diverse GPE topics, such as trade, multinational corporations, finance, development, environment, and issues related to food and hunger. The primary focus is on economic globalization and its implications for the state and society.
