Additional Course Info | Class Number: 1656 An examination of how the global economy is governed and how governance bodies have responded to and/or been complicit in crises and their aftermaths. Critical attention will be paid to power asymmetries in the international system and their consequences. Particular focus will be paid to the history and politics of global finance. Other cases might include the international governance of intellectual property rights, digital governance, and international trade regimes, among other possibilities.; Prerequisite(s): One political science course or instructor consent; Enrollment Limit: 25; Lottery Preference(s): Political science majors, then juniors and seniors over first-year students and sophomores Social Science (SO) |
