Additional Course Info | Class Number: 1672 This is an advanced reading course in Latin literature focusing on the topic of friendship. Texts will include Cicero’s Laelius, poetry composed by Horace and Maecenas (among others), dedicatory inscriptions discussing friendship, and letters, notably some examples depicting female friendship as found in the Vindolanda tablets. ; Prerequisite(s): Two semesters of 100-level Latin, or instructor consent Humanities (HU) |
