Additional Course Info | Class Number: 1030 Our focus in this intermediate language course will be on reading and analyzing selections from two Latin texts, Catullus’ Carmina (Poems) and the Life of Atticus by Cornelius Nepos. Through this exercise, we will review various aspects of Latin grammar and develop sound reading strategies as we continue our study of Latin together. We will also pay special attention to many cultural, literary, and historical issues that intersect with these two texts, their authors, and their Roman context.; Prerequisite(s): LATN 002 or instructor consent for students with strong HS prep Humanities, A: Meaning, Interpretation (Texts) (Hav: HU, A) |
