Additional Course Info | Class Number: 2272 This is a topics course. Course content varies. Prerequisite: one course in History of Art at the 100- or 200-level or permission of the instructor. Enrollment preference given to majors and minors in History of Art.; Current topic description: Focusing on the eastern part of the route that connects India, Central Asia, China, and Japan from antiquity to the medieveal period, this course surveys a variety of artworks and visual materials not only in formal and iconographic terms but also through social, political, and particularly religious perspectives.
