Additional Course Info | Class Number: 2292 Readings from Spanish and Spanish-American works of various periods and genres (drama, poetry, short stories). Main focus on developing analytical skills with attention to improvement of grammar. This course is a requisite for the Spanish major. Prerequisite: SPAN 102, or placement. This course can satisfy the Writing Intensive (WI) requirement for the Spanish major. Critical Interpretation (CI). Counts toward Latin American, Iberian and Latina/o Studies.; Readings from Spanish and Spanish-American works of various periods and genres (drama, poetry, short stories), from the Middle Ages to contemporary times. Main focus on developing analytical skills with attention to improvement of grammar. This course is a requisite for the Spanish major. Prerequisite: SPAN 102, or placement. This course can satisfy the Writing Intensive (WI) requirement for the Spanish major. This course develops reading proficiency in different literary genres. Improvement in grammar is attained as an individual process through writing assignments. Conversational ability is enhanced through class discussions. Class sessions will be instructed synchronously via video conferencing during class time (EDT). The course will include some pre-recorded elements throughout the semester, as well as online quizzes and assignments, virtual discussions, and regular participation in a course blog. |
