Additional Course Info | Class Number: 2312 This capstone Environmental Studies course is designed to allow Environmental Studies seniors to actively engage in environmental problem solving. Students bring the perspectives and skills gained from their ENVS focus area and from their preparatory work in the major/minor to collaborate on interdisciplinary projects; The capstone Environmental Studies course is designed to allow Environmental Studies seniors to actively engage in environmental problem solving. Students bring the perspectives and skills gained from their ENVS focus area and from their preparatory work in the major to collaborate on interdisciplinary projects. In its remote form, ENVS 397 will include a bi-weekly virtual speaker series and preparatory workshops for job searches and application. Enrollment Cap: 12; Open to senior Environmental Studies majors only; This course will run predominantly synchronously. Class members will meet on Thursdays, from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and will also be responsible for self-scheduling the following: roughly 6 hours of fieldwork / week, from group meetings to individual research. If a student is not able to attend the synchronous meetings on Thursdays, they can work with the Professor to come up with an alternative meeting time. |
