6 members of the Haverford Class of 2018 join Quaker Voluntary Service (QVS)
Once again this year, a wonderful group of Haverford graduates have joined Quaker Voluntary Service and will be living in community, deepening their relationship between Spirit and action, and working for local non-profit social justice organizations.
In Boston, Susan Kelly will be working for the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center and Jeremy Graf Evans will be lending his time and talent to the New Economy Coalition.
Madison Arnold-Scerbo will be working in Portland for the Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility. There she will join with former QVS fellow Damon Motz-Story ’16 to continue the organization’s work on clean energy.
Three members of the class will remain in Philadelphia: John Halifax working for the West Philadelphia Alliance for Children (WePAC); Lucas Richie at the Bread & Roses Community Fund; and Liz Royer supporting the Interfaith Center of Greater Philadelphia.
Thanks to all of these dedicated Haverford alums for their commitment to a more just and peaceful world. The Quaker Affairs Office staff looks forward to hearing more.
