“Studying abroad was educational in more ways than I ever thought it could be.
"Living abroad challenged me to reexamine how I express myself. What do I say? How and when? After overcoming the exhausting and disembodying effect of linguistic barriers, I eventually embraced the beauty of simplifying my speech. I found it helped me connect more genuinely with others and myself. Living abroad forced me out of my comfort zone to discover a new one." – Dana Duncombe '17
Each year more than 130 Haverford students take advantage of the opportunity to study abroad.
