The Mellon Creative Residencies Program ignites vibrant engagements between students, faculty, and visiting artists through sustained, dynamic residencies, inside the classroom and out.
Virtually all Haverford Physics and Astronomy majors engage in cutting-edge research, working closely with faculty in fields such as biophysics, quantum computers, cosmology, quantum gravity, fluid dynamics, nanoscience, and extra-galactic astronomy.
The John B. Hurford ’60 Center for the Arts and Humanities supports students across a range of internships, faculty assistantships, and research projects, including the new Interdisciplinary Documentary Media Fellowship Program in the Gulf of Mexico.
Haverford has more than 145 groups that publish magazines, host symposia, sing a cappella, discuss religion and spirituality, stay politically active, maintain a system of student self-government, dance, demonstrate and create.
The Fine Arts at Haverford emphasize the individual. Studio classes are small and all students—from beginners to declared majors—receive individual, focused instruction, and are encouraged to develop the physical and critical skills necessary to create art.
Congratulations, Class of 2014! Commencement will take place Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets are not required. Schedule • Speakers • Directions • Map
