The Rotunda at the KINSCThe Marian E. Koshland Integrated Natural Sciences Center (KINSC) is a platform for scholarly and curricular activities among faculty and students sharing a passion for scientific inquiry across a diverse and interdisciplinary range of topics. The KINSC catalyzes and facilitates programming that maintains Haverford College's position as a leading institution of excellence in the sciences.
The collaborative research conducted by the faculty, staff, and students in KINSC laboratories, is at the forefront of their respective disciplines. It is recognized by the national and international scientific communities, informs public policy, and serves as the foundation for the Haverford science curriculum. The faculty teaching in the KINSC bring their research expertise to the classroom, and, in turn, student skills and energies contribute to the center's on-going research programs through intramural and extramural research opportunities. The KINSC is committed to supporting initiatives that broaden access to scholarship and research for faculty and students alike.
The KINSC is a nexus for interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary growth at Haverford and supports curricular and faculty development that promote synergies between existing Departments and cooperation with the Hurford Humanities Center (HHC) and the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship (CPGC).
