The Faculty Swimming Club
The Haverford College Faculty Swimming Club will not be accepting any additional non-campus memberships for the 2013 summer season.

Returning members will receive membership materials via email in mid-April. If you have changed your email address since last season, please contact the Membership Secretary in order to provide the new address.
Schedule: The Pool will open on Saturday, May 25th. From May 25th through June 2nd, the pool will be open only on weekends (and Memorial Day). The lifeguard will post signs at the pool in case of late openings. The dates and hours that the pool will be open are:
- Weekends of May 25, 26, & 27, and June 1 & 2: 1 to 7 p.m.
- June 3 - September 2: Weekends from 1-7 p.m. and Weekdays from noon to 1 p.m. and 2 to 7 p.m.
- July 4th: 1 to 7 p.m.
- Labor Day Weekend (August 31, September 1 & 2): 1 to 7 p.m.
- Saturday evening swims (July 6, 13, 20, 27 and August 3): 7 to 9 p.m.
The pool is closed in the event of rain, electrical storm, or when the temperature falls below 70°F. If in doubt, call the pool at 610-649-9712. We are pleased that Rich Koshgerian will be continuing as Lifeguard, and we welcome back Niall Doherty who will be assisting Rich.

Lap Swim: One 25 meter lane will be available at all times for adults-only lap swimming.
Children at the Pool: All children 12 years of age and younger must be supervised by a parent or caregiver at all times. Unless specifically listed on the family membership application, caregivers must check in with the lifeguard upon arrival at the pool. It is recommended that children who are not yet potty trained wear swim diapers covered either by plastic pants or a tight swim suit.
Toys and Floatation Devices: Toys and inflatables are allowed in the small (kiddie) pool. NO INFLATABLES allowed in large pool (The only exception would be bathing suits where floatation is sewn in to the suit.) Toys allowed in the large pool: soft balls (when pool is not to crowded), diving sticks, diving rings, and other diving toys that sink, not float.
Guest Policy During Regular Hours: The guest fee is $2 per person per visit. Members must pay for their guests at the time they arrive and inform the lifeguard as to their guest’s swimming ability. All guests must be accompanied by their host member(s) at all times. Please remember that a guest is considered to be an individual outside the member household. During membership hours no more than 15 guests are allowed per member. If a member wishes to bring more than 15 guests, the pool may be reserved for use prior to or after membership hours (see "Parties" below).
Food and Drink: Food and drinks are allowed at the pool with the following restrictions: No glass bottles. No Alcohol. No food or drink in the pool or on the surrounding pool deck. No chewing gum.
Parties: Members may rent the pool outside of regular hours for $50 per hour plus $1 per person (up to $60). Please make arrangements directly with Rich.
Swimming Lessons: Our Lifeguard will offer swimming classes Monday through Friday for two or three weeks toward the end of June. These dates are not set at this point, so please contact Rich to determine the exact times and dates, and to sign up your child for lessons. Your child must be tall enough to stand in the shallow end of the pool with his/her head above water.
Location: The pool can be seen just above #36 (lower left corner) on the campus map.
Parking: Swim club members and their guests must follow the same rules as all others parking on campus. Please obey the posted signs indicating the status of parking spots/lots. The "South Parking Lot" (number 53 on the campus map) is always open to visitor parking.
To Join: Last year's members will receive an email regarding membership renewal in early April of each year. New members should contact Douglas S. Davis, the club Membership Secretary, in order to receive the membership materials.
Membership Cards: Membership cards are not issued. The lifeguard will confirm your membership status upon your arrival at the pool.
