Michelle will be primarily remote during the Fall 2020 semester. She will generally be on campus on Tuesdays (weather permitting) under the Leeds tent for socially distanced meetings. About Michelle
Michelle Leao (she/her/hers) is the Assistant Dean of the College and Director of Student Engagement and Leadership at Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania. Born in India and then raised in Northern New Jersey, she is a 2015 graduate of The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) where she majored in Psychology and minored in Public Health. Michelle went on to complete her master's degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Starting with her undergraduate experience, Michelle has worked in a variety of areas in student affairs, including admissions, residence life, fraternity and sorority life. student activities and leadership development. Now at Haverford College, Michelle works with Mike Elias to manage all aspects of student engagement and leadership by supporting student programing, including, orientation, finals week programming, Students' Council, student organizations and many other fun happenings on campus! Michelle is also one of the advising deans, working with sophomores, juniors and seniors. In her free time, she's spending time with her puppy Padfoot (a frequent visitor on campus), reading or listening to books, and testing out new recipes.
