Like many librarians, Johanna fell in love with libraries as a kid, but it wasn't until the summer after college that she even considered it as a career, despite having worked at Earlham's Lilly Library for three years while an undergrad. She started working at Haverford back in 2008 as our Acquisitions Assistant while still in graduate school. She was thrilled to move into the Electronic Resources Librarian position in 2012. She now handles all of our subscribed electronic content, from journals to databases to ebook packages, as well as our remaining print serials collection. In addition to acquiring, paying for, renewing and troubleshooting Haverford library resources, she makes them easily accessible to our patrons via Tripod and the FindIt! menu.
When not at work, she enjoys knitting an endless supply of socks, growing vegetables at her local community garden, and spectating at women's soccer events from the NWSL to the World Cup. She has finally reduced the Quaker committees she serves on to a reasonable number.
