The Okeke lab studies interactions between Escherichia coli and other bacteria and their eukaryotic hosts with support from the National Science Foundation. We are also interested in the genetic basis for antimicrobial resistance and the molecular epidemiology of diarrheal pathogens in studies based at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and the University of Ghana Medical School.
