Salve—hello! My name is Dylan Dixon and I am a Classical Culture and Society and English double major from Orlando, Florida. My academic interests are many and varied—they include but are not limited to the reception of Greco-Roman mythology in Western art music; translation theory, its practice, and its implications in the Anglophone world; the depiction and criticism of built environments in modernist literature; and the exploration of the ways in which the field of Classics can enact social justice in the 21st century. In my free time, I enjoy writing poetry, taking carefree strolls along the Nature Trail, playing around with constructed languages, and (gently) making fun of "McMansions" in my native Central Florida.
Please feel free to reach out to me via email with research opportunities, intriguing observations, or simply to chat!
