Professor Macbeth has received fellowships from the NEH and the ACLS, and was a Fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences, Stanford, in 2002-03. She is the author of Frege's Logic (Harvard UP, 2005), andRealizing Reason (Oxford UP, 2014); she has also published articles on pragmatism, and in the philosophy of language, the history and philosophy of mathematics, the philosophy of mind, and in other core areas of analytic philosophy. Her primary research and teaching interests are in metaphysics, epistemology, the philosophy of language and mind, the history and philosophy of logic, and the history and philosophy of mathematics.
