Aalia Saleem is a clinical psychologist in training at Chestnut Hill College. She received her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College, and her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Brooklyn College. Aalia previously volunteered on a psychiatric inpatient unit, assisting a psychotherapist in Creative Art and Drama Therapy. Alongside this, she worked collaboratively with adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities to lead more self-directed lives. Aalia has previous experience conducting both individual and group therapy at a community-based intensive outpatient center.
Aalia values a multicultural and integrative approach to therapy to address the needs of her clients. Her clinical interests include diversity, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and biracial/multiracial identity development. She strives to create a warm and safe environment to foster understanding and exploration. Outside of her clinical work, Aalia’s self-care includes reading novels, planting, photography, interior design, and spending time with her puppy, Atlas.
