Alex is the CLIR Postdoctoral Fellow in Data Curation for Latin American and Caribbean studies. He works with the Digital Scholarship team on a digital archive with the Guatemalan human rights group, Grupo de Apoyo Mutuo. Alex received his Ph.D. in Latin American History from Michigan State University. Prior to his position at Haverford, he worked as the Digital Liberal Arts Fellow for the Mellon Scholars Program at Hope College. Alex's dissertation examined soccer and politics in 20th century Buenos Aires and his research interests include sport, consumption, and politics in Latin America. His is also the co-founder of footballscholars.org and GradHacker.
