Together with Humanities
Faculty Call for Proposals
We currently welcome faculty proposals for co-taught courses or course clusters to be taught in Spring 2026 and beyond.
Together with Humanities (TwH) provides structural and financial support for courses that engage with themes of language(s) and power in innovative ways, examining these concepts in action through partnerships with communities outside of Haverford. We are particularly interested in proposals that bridge the traditional humanities and other disciplines, such as those in STEM.
Proposed courses must be Haverford classes and must have at least one Haverford faculty member (tenure-track or adjunct) to act as anchor faculty for the course. Additional instructors may be faculty (in the Tri-Co or elsewhere) or non-faculty, such as staff or community partners. Please note that eligibility to be hired as a visiting instructor is ultimately determined by the Provost’s Office.
Proposals for Spring 2026 courses will be due in early September. If you are at all interested in proposing a TwH course, we invite you to reach out to Emily Drummond (edrummond [at] haverford.edu) at any stage of the process. Our team of staff can help to brainstorm course ideas, connect you with other interested faculty, or develop partnerships with community organizations.
