The "Together with Humanities: Language, Community, and Power" initiative supports a series of co-taught courses and course clusters attuned to issues of languages and power while also feeding a wide range of student internships and experiences.
Through community-based learning, this initiative brings students, faculty, staff, and community members together to engage more deeply with language(s), linguistics, and the intersection with power across disciplines—both within and outside of the traditional humanities.
Call for Proposals: We currently welcome faculty proposals for co-taught courses to be taught in Spring 2025 and beyond. Details
Courses
Our first semester includes co-taught courses and course clusters, which build on local and international partnerships and engage with a diverse group of languages and cultures.
Student Assessment Program
Each course will be paired with a Student Assessment Partner, who will collaborate to assess the impact of our courses and develop recommendations for improvement.
Summer Experiences and Internships
“Together with Humanities” supports four summer experiences each year that grow out of the co-taught courses or course clusters.
