On the first Monday of this finals week, a group of Haverford students escaped from the hectic, high-stress studying environment of Haverford’s campus for an afternoon and evening at Pendle Hill, the famous Quaker retreat center located near Swarthmore College.
A group of Haverford students participated in Friends Committee on National Legislation's Annual Conference and Lobby Day in Washington, D.C. in November. Students learned how to lobby effectively, then met with their congressional representatives to lobby them in person. Afterwards, students attended a talk by New York Times bestseller Reza Aslan.
