2018-2019 Full-Time Visiting Assistant Professorships in Biology
The Haverford College Biology Department seeks applications for two full-time (five courses per year teaching load) faculty positions in cell and molecular biology starting in the 2018-2019 academic year.
Areas of teaching and research responsibilities may include eukaryotic genetics, neuroscience, or plant biology. The successful candidates are expected to contribute to our curriculum at a variety of levels, from non-majors courses to lecture and laboratory courses for majors. One of the positions will include supervision of several senior thesis projects and candidates for this position may be considered for a two-year appointment. Interest in, or experience with, team teaching across STEM disciplinary boundaries is highly valued.
Haverford College is a top-tier small liberal arts college that lies 20 minutes outside of Philadelphia. Haverford has a long tradition in fostering student research in the curriculum and students majoring in biology are required to participate in a year-long senior thesis experience.
Candidates must have completed a PhD, and additional postdoctoral experience is preferred.
