International Student Study Approved Remotely or on Campus
Details
A Message from President Wendy Raymond
Friends,
I want to be sure you have heard the breaking news that a ruling in federal district court means that all international students at Haverford and across the nation will be able to continue or begin their studies whether remotely or on campus. This is wonderful news for us all! You likely know that Haverford and many other colleges and universities filed amicus briefs in a lawsuit that Harvard and MIT brought to block last week’s ill-advised federal policy, and today’s hearing of that case has set aright our way forward.
Haverford students and alumni from around the world contribute inestimably to the quality of the liberal arts education we gain in community and to the ways our inclusive collaborations change the world for the better. I am so grateful that our international students can, once again, safely immerse themselves in the educations that we so passionately wish to provide.
Many of our international students will still face challenges in obtaining visas in a timely fashion. We remain steadfast in support of our students through every hurdle ahead.
Please take care. We are living through such challenging times, together.
All my best,
Wendy
