The pre-health advisor provides advising and support to students and alumni who are interested in exploring careers in the health professions, including medicine, dentistry, public health, and other related fields.
There are three options for appointment with the pre-health advisor. All appointment types are self-scheduled through Handshake:
Drop-in Pre-Health Appointments
Virtual 15-minute meetings on Thursdays from 1:00-3:00 weekly during the academic year. Great for quick questions and touching base.
Virtual or in-person 30-minute meetings to discuss course sequencing, overall health professions, medical school plans, ideas for gaining experience.
Required 45-minute meetings for medical and dental school applicants in the year you are applying. Deadline: February 1 (alumni); March 15 (students)
Other Types of Appointments
Students and alumni can also make an appointment with a career advisor for assistance with internship and job searches, networking with alumni, resume/CV review, cover letter review, mock interviews, and overall career exploration. All appointments are self-scheduled through Handshake.
