HaverPhilly Alumni Fellowship
The HaverPhilly Alumni Fellowship supports and invests in community-driven projects in the Greater Philadelphia region through collaborations between the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship and a variety of civic and academic partners.
Founded in 2002 and formerly known as Haverford House, the program provides fellows with entry-level, living wage positions with mission-driven organizations and opportunities to learn together, with peers and colleagues on and off-campus. More than 100 Haverford graduates have served one-year terms with dozens of partners in myriad capacities, including direct service, advocacy, research, and policy-focused fellowships.
The HaverPhilly Alumni Fellowship will offer fellows, partner organization staff, and invited members of the Haverford community a structured professional development series. Monthly workshops will be designed to develop our collective skill and capacity to advance social justice work with an intersectional and decolonizing lens. Fellows and campus-based collaborators will also build more connections between curriculum and faculty, and justice work advanced by partner organizations, including:
- African Family Health Organization
- Ardmore Victory Gardens (Ardmore Bethel AME Church)
- Education Law Center
- Food Moxie
- Philadelphia Legal Assistance
- Shift Capital
