The Center forPeace and Global Citizenship
HaverPhilly Alumni Fellowship

The HaverPhilly Alumni Fellowship supports and invests in community-driven projects in the Greater Philadelphia region through collaborations between the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship and a variety of civic and academic partners.
Founded in 2002 and formerly known as Haverford House, the program provides fellows with entry-level, living wage positions with justice-oriented organizations and opportunities to learn together, with peers and colleagues on and off-campus. More than 100 Haverford graduates have served one-year terms with dozens of partners in myriad capacities, including direct service, advocacy, research, and policy-focused fellowships.
The HaverPhilly Alumni Fellowship will also offer fellows, partner organization staff, and invited members of the Haverford community a structured professional development series. Monthly workshops will be designed to develop our collective skill and capacity to advance social justice work with an intersectional and decolonizing lens. Fellows and campus-based collaborators will also build more connections between curriculum and faculty, and justice work advanced by partner organizations, through the following positions:
- African Family Health Organization Fellow
- Ardmore Victory Gardens Fellow
- Education Law Center Fellow
- Food Moxie Fellow
- HIAS PA Asylee Outreach Fellow
- HIAS PA Immigration Law Intake Fellow
- PLA Family Law Unit Fellow
- PLA Intake & Communications Fellow
- PLA Medical Legal Unit Fellow
- Shift Capital Fellow
Application Deadline: Sunday, March 7, 2021
Beginning in 2021, Bryn Mawr seniors graduating with a Haverford or Bi-Co major, minor, or concentration are eligible to apply.
For the 2021-22 fellowship year, members of the Haverford class of 2020 are also welcome to apply. Students from and/or with a commitment to the Philadelphia region are encouraged to apply.
