Through its Faculty/Curricular Support Fund, the Center provides support for any faculty member wishing to integrate global and local issues into their teaching, research, and mentoring.
CPGC support might enable attendance at off-campus conferences, hosting on-campus events, organizing ethical, engaged learning projects in conjunction with students, advancing public, participatory, and/or community-engaged scholarship, and the inclusion of elements of social justice into courses.
Support may be requested to cover expenses for course projects, such as reimbursement for student travel, funds to hire a student to conduct research, reimbursement for the purchase of materials, or funds for course-related travel.
All activities must be related to the Center’s mission to advance peace, social justice, and global citizenship through research, education, and action.
This fund is available to Haverford College faculty and Bryn Mawr College faculty teaching Haverford College courses. Faculty members considering requests for major proposals (> $3,000) are expected to discuss them beforehand with one of the CPGC directors.
