Our vision is to maximize the power of students’ personal and community stories as part of our shared history. We seek to communicate this history with honesty, openness, and transparency by sharing access to meaningful resources, events, and exhibits in order to create a history that enables the diverse components of Haverford’s community to achieve a sense of a shared heritage. We collect materials and knowledge of the past in order to preserve and explore topics of timeless relevance and current public interest and benefit. We develop our knowledge, connections, and expertise to build relationships between individuals, organizations, and communities on campus to enhance understanding and empathy, and to inspire a pride of place.
