To increase representation & comfort of marginalized students in math at Haverford. Specifically, the group will focus on three things in the coming semester:
- increasing accessibility of math spaces
- encouraging math students to reflect on their privilege as it relates to their participation in math spaces at Haverford
- acting as a liaison between students and the department in voicing student concerns relating to identity.
“Marginalized students” includes, but is not limited to, those historically underrepresented in mathematics.
