Presidential Special Initiatives

  • Ethical Leadership Challenge

Educating tomorrow’s ethical leaders is central to the College’s mission and creating an endowment to sustain programs like the Ethical Leadership Summer Institute and the peace, justice, and human rights curriculum is an immediate priority. Andy Pleatman ‘66 has pledged $1 million to match—dollar for dollar—new gifts to endow initiatives to deepen both educational and co-curricular programs.

  • Environmental Sustainability

Haverford is committed to fostering a more sustainable world that reflects our deeply held values around social responsibility. Your gift supports the campus as a living laboratory, carbon reduction programs, and other operational initiatives that uphold sustainability principles and practices.

  • Diversity Initiatives

Haverford seeks to promote diversity and inclusion in and beyond the classroom as core values of our educational mission, whether curricular or co-curricular. Philanthropic gifts in this area will support campus speakers, LIFTFAR, programs to build multicultural awareness, diversity trainings, and key initiatives such as the Chesick Scholars as articulated in the Diversity Strategic Plan.

Haverford needs your support in many ways. For information on giving to other endowed or current-use funds, contact Deb Strecker at (610) 896-1129 or dstrecke@haverford.edu.
