Four panelists examined the landscape of education in the United States and issues of quality, accountability, and equity during a program on “(Un)Chartered Waters: Public, Private, and Charter Schools in America.”
This new event, geared to introduce interested students to careers in the public policy realm, featured panels devoted to such areas as public law, health care, and international and domestic policy. Almost all of the panelists were Haverford alums with noteworthy jobs.
The 2014 World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates was moved from Cape Town to Rome, allowing five IES Abroad students to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
