New Economics Professor to join faculty
The economics department has hired David Owens as a new tenure track faculty member starting in the fall of 2008. David will receive his PhD in economics from the University of California, Berkeley this spring. He received a BS in economics with a minor in German from the University of Delaware.
David 's primary research and teaching fields are behavioral and experimental economics, and he also has interests in game theory and industrial organization. David's thesis is titled "Broadening the Scope of Experimental Observational Learning Studies". David has won the outstanding graduate student instructor award it U.C. Berkeley, and he will be teaching introductory microeconomics and behavioral economics and advising senior theses next year.
