Spotlighted Student: Chris Dooley '09
Chris Dooley is our December “Spotlighted Student” in the Economics Department. A native of Doylestown, PA, Chris attended Central Bucks East High School. He is a senior on the baseball team, playing outfield for the Black Squirrels. He is also involved with the Athletic Department on campus, working the shot clock for the basketball games and the scoreboard for the volleyball games. When asked what has drawn Chris to Economics, he says that he has always been interested in the financial market. His interest really peaked when he arrived on campus as a freshman and took a Public Policy class with Professor Linda Bell; it sealed the deal for him. He loved the class and was sold! Chris is focusing his senior thesis on whether or not the decision of women to delay childbearing has an effect on her other choices in life such as a career path or educational attainment. This past summer Chris received his EMT certification and is interested in volunteering with a local ambulance. In addition to being an Economics major, Chris is minoring in chemistry. Eventually, he hopes to attend medical school. As for plans after graduation, he is looking to take a year off and travel!
