Registration for Swarthmore Linguistics Courses
Details
Bryn Mawr and Haverford students register for Linguistics classes at Swarthmore through BIONIC—the shared registration system of Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges.
Prior to pre-registration the BMC Registrar’s Office will check in with the SC Linguistics department to get an updated list of the Linguistics course offerings. We will then schedule the courses in BIONIC, so they are available to Bi-Co students during pre-registration. This paperless process is in lieu of signed forms. Bi-Co students registering for Linguistics courses will NOT complete the paper registration form required for all other Swarthmore courses.
After preregistration is over, each college will send a data file to the Registrar's Office at Swarthmore and to the Linguistics department for review. The Linguistics department will review the list and note any students that should not be admitted to a course they selected. The annotated spreadsheet will then be sent to the Swarthmore and Bryn Mawr Registrar’s Office so that students can be registered (or notified) accordingly.
At the start of each semester during open registration and Add/Drop registration updated will be sent as needed to the Swarthmore Registrar’s Office with a copy to the Linguistics department.
