Haverford CollegeLibraries
Print, Scan, Copy
We have networked black-and-white printers available in all libraries. Color printing, poster printing, scanning, and copying is available in select locations.
Black & White Printing
Networked black & white printers are available in all Haverford libraries. The Library pays for the printing needs of Tri-College students, faculty, and staff; visitors to the campus who print are requested to reimburse the Library at a cost of 10¢ per page. Each circulation desk accepts reimbursements for printing.
Color Printing
Public color printing is available in both Founders Great Hall and the Science Library through color Multi-Function Printer machines (MFP).
The cost is 25¢ per page for all users. HC students will be charged through their student account at the end of each semester. HC faculty and staff will be charged through their departments. Users need their OneCard to activate the process. All other Tri-Co patrons must check out a by-pass card from the Circulation Desk in each library and pay in cash when returning the card.
Color prints can also be made at Central Services in the Whitehead Campus Center.
Poster Printing
E-mail your request (with your poster attached as either a PDF or JPG) to Norm Medeiros or David Satten-Lopez at least 24 hours in advance (not counting Saturday or Sunday) of when it is needed. This timing ensures that posters are ready in time for your event.
Printing for Course assignments is free of charge. Posters for science courses are done through the KINSC unless they are booked up. Posters needed for clubs, organizations or personal use for Haverford students, faculty, and staff will cost $10 (OneCard or cash is accepted) and subject to scheduling and other availability.
Scanning
Public scanning is available in all libraries using the Multi-Function Printer machines (MFP) and is free of charge.
If you are a Haverford user, you will use your OneCard to activate the process. Scans can either be sent to your Haverford e-mail account (by choosing the "E-mail" function) or saved to a shared network folder (by choosing the "Network Folder" function).
If you are a Bryn Mawr or Swarthmore community member, you will need to check out a guest card from the Circulation Desk in each library to activate the scanning process. Scans can be saved to a shared network folder (by choosing the "Network Folder" function).
Faculty engaged in course-related projects involving significant numbers of digital images may wish to contact Julie Coy to learn about shared image collections in the ARTstor digital library.
Black & White Copying
Public photocopiers are located in all Haverford libraries. Photocopiers accept coins and small bills ($1 or $5). Copies are 15¢ for letter and legal size (8.5"x11" and 8.5"x14", respectively) and 30¢ for ledger (11"x17"). Note that OneCards not be used to pay for photocopies.
In lieu of photocopying, members of the Tri-Co community may also choose to scan and print for free.
