Geology in Hawaii

Fellow Geology major Kelsey Meisenhelder ’13 and I sat on top of a hot, steaming vent from an older lava lake on Hilo, Hawaii. We also got to see a sulfur dioxide cloud glow red at red out of the active Kilauea volcano.” – Rachel Davis ’13

Fine Arts at Haverford

The Fine Arts at Haverford emphasize the individual. Studio classes are small and all students—from beginners to declared majors—receive individual, focused instruction, and are encouraged to develop the physical and critical skills necessary to create art.

It's not unusual for classes to have fewer than five students; nearly 35% have fewer than ten.

Inside Magill Library

Magill Library houses more than half a million volumes and provides access to 2.5 million more through a catalog system that connects it to libraries at neighboring Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore Colleges.
